Research on Permeability Coefficient of Fine Sediments in Debris-Flow Gullies, Southwestern China

Fine sediments in debris-flow gullies are quaternary with a particle size of less than 2 mm. Since they easy to suspend flowing water, their stability plays key “probe” role early warning. The permeability coefficient is the main internal control factor fine sediment debris flow. However, there no quantitative model between and its influencing factors, which seriously affects evaluation flow sediments. Taking Laobeichuan County, Sichuan Province, China as research area, we carried out experiments on factors. A factors was established by least-squares multivariate statistical analysis method. results showed that cohesion closest coefficient, followed porosity density. Each passed t-test significantly correlated 99.99% probability. With correlation 0.72, had good prediction ability. Therefore, not only provides theoretical basis for analyzing but also points direction detecting gullies.
